Our hosts offer a variety of traditional Turkish meals, including regional specialties and homemade dishes made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Because hosts mostly use ingredients directly from their garden, the menu changes almost every two weeks, micro-seasonally. When you book, we can share the menu based on your arrival date, and we'll ask about your dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, etc.).
Each host is obliged to cook at least 4 courses for dinner: starter, salad, side dishes, main dish, and dessert or fruit. Turkish local drinks like ayran and water are served free. If you'd like alcohol or soft drinks, they are available with an extra charge — please inform us in advance.
Browse the available hosts, select the one you'd like to visit, and contact our team directly through the website at any time. From there, you can discuss details such as date, time, dietary preferences, and any other requirements.
While Spoonway doesn't provide transportation directly, we can share information on public transport options and taxi services in the area to help you plan your visit. We'll also let your host know when you're arriving — if they live in a village without public transport, they can offer to pick you up from the nearest point where it's available.
Many hosts provide accommodation, though some are unable to offer this option. Information about accommodation and how many people can stay is included in each host profile.
The hosts offer guests their own traditional drinks such as ayran during the meal. If you prefer to drink alcohol with the meal, this must be stated at the time of booking and is subject to an extra charge.
This depends on the host, experience and package you choose. You can have a full-day experience including breakfast and evening meal, a multi-day experience with hosts who offer accommodation, or a single-meal 3–4 hour experience.
Because our hosts live a village lifestyle, they are usually not available for instant booking. However, Spoonway can contact the host and ask for their approval for an instant booking.
Since Spoonway offers not only a meal but authentic local experiences, we highly recommend planning and booking at least a few days in advance.
Contact us through the website to cancel your reservation — we will notify your host and provide a refund.
We do not provide a refund if you cancel within 24 hours, because our hosts begin the harvesting, cooking and preparation process up to two days before your arrival. A 3% payment processing fee will be deducted from your refund if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance.
Our top goal is keeping you safe and happy. We have personally screened each and every one of our hosts: every host goes through a rigorous screening procedure, interviews are conducted, and their homes, food and experiences are tested.
Of course, visitors should always be careful during experiences — for example, if you are having a horse riding experience, you are responsible.

Payment methods vary depending on the host. Some hosts may prefer cash payment upon arrival, while others may accept online payments through platforms like PayPal or bank transfers. Payment details will be discussed directly during booking.

In most cases, alcohol, soft drinks, homemade products from hosts, and transportation are charged as extras. If the host has authentic, local handmade products for sale, you'll find their prices on the host's profile page in advance, so you always know what to expect.
