Terms of Service

The full Terms of Service govern the use of the Spoonway platform by travelers and hosts, covering bookings, cancellations, payments, conduct, and responsibilities.

1. Who we are

Spoonway ("Spoonway", "we", "us") is an online platform that connects travelers ("Guests") with local village hosts ("Hosts") in Türkiye for meals, cultural experiences and village life activities ("Experiences"). Spoonway acts as an intermediary platform: Experiences are provided by independent Hosts, not by Spoonway. Contact: info@spoonway.com.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By using the Spoonway website or booking an Experience, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always available on this page.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Guests under 18 may participate in Experiences only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

4. How booking works

Bookings are requested through the Spoonway website. We confirm availability with the Host — usually within 24 hours — and finalize details (date, time, group size, dietary preferences) with you directly.

Because our Hosts live a village life, instant same-day bookings are generally not possible; we recommend booking at least a few days in advance.

5. Prices and what is included

Each Host's profile explains the packages offered and what each package includes. Unless stated otherwise, traditional local drinks such as ayran and water are served free with meals.

The following are not included and are charged separately when requested:

Prices for homemade products are shown on the Host's profile so Guests can check them before the visit.

6. Payment

Payment methods vary by Host and are agreed during booking. Depending on the Host, payment may be made in cash on arrival, by bank transfer, or through supported online payment methods. Payment details are always confirmed with you before your visit.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a confirmed booking by contacting us through the website. Because Hosts begin harvesting, shopping and preparation up to two days before your arrival:

If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund.

Every Spoonway Host is personally visited and screened by our team before joining the platform: we conduct interviews and test their homes, food and experiences. Hosts are responsible for providing the Experience as described on their profile and for complying with applicable local rules.

10. Spoonway's role and limitation of liability

Spoonway facilitates the connection between Guests and Hosts and supports both sides before, during and after the booking. However, Experiences are provided by independent Hosts.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Spoonway is not liable for personal injury, illness, loss or damage arising during an Experience, except where caused by Spoonway's own gross negligence or willful misconduct. Guests participate in activities voluntarily and are responsible for their own belongings and personal safety during the Experience.

11. Content and intellectual property

All content on the Spoonway website (text, photos, videos, logo, design) belongs to Spoonway or its Hosts and may not be copied or used commercially without written permission.

By sharing reviews, photos or testimonials with us, you grant Spoonway a non-exclusive right to use them on our website and social channels; you may withdraw this permission at any time by contacting us.

12. Privacy

We collect only the personal information needed to arrange your booking (such as name, contact details, dates and dietary preferences) and share it with your Host only to the extent necessary for the Experience. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). For any privacy request, contact info@spoonway.com.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts and enforcement offices of Muğla, Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in the Guest's country of residence.
